Dear Chibi,
Kyyaaryyyyy :D Last night Hubby and I came back from j-pop princess Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s concert held at Luna Park! It’s a one night show in Sydney as part of her “KPP 5iVE Years Monster World Tour 2016”. I was lucky enough to win a double pass to the show, so Hubby and I were both super excited!! We first discovered her music while on our Japan trip back in 2012. Her music video was playing on a large billboard in Shibuya, and her song “Candy Candy” caught our attention. Who would’ve known 4 years later she would perform in Sydney, and that we’d get a chance to see her live?
It was a standing concert and we managed to get a pretty good spot up near the front (on the second row). Loved the atmosphere, many fans cosplayed and dressed up. I might’ve done something if I didn’t have to come after work XD We weren’t allowed to use our proper cameras, so here’s some pics I took on the night with my phone. Still pretty decent quality :)
Kyary was so cute >w<! It was a simple gig, but really enjoyable. She danced the whole night, wore 3 different outfits and got the crowd pumped. I knew around 80% of the songs, while Hubby knew 100% ;D Shows who’s the bigger fan doesn’t it? He was waiting for her to sing “Kimi ni 100 Percent”, and lucky for him she performed it during the encore :D

Dear Chibi,
Today I worked on two new Chibi Dolls of Tang Xue Jian and Long Kui, characters from Chinese Paladin 3 (drama). 2 years ago, I made a set with Zixuan in her various outfits. You can find them here. I’ve been meaning to draw Xue Jian for a while now (for a years actually) because I love her outfit.. it’s so pretty and pink and girlie and dressy XD Needless to say I really enjoyed drawing her :)
Tang Xue Jian
Long Kui
This isn’t the first time I’ve drawn Long Kui, but back then I hadn’t even seen the drama XD You can find my old painting of her here. Long Kui wasn’t as fun to draw, mainly because her character design didn’t appeal to me as much. I like drawing characters with a fringe but she doesn’t have one, lol. Just personal preference.
And.. a group shot with all three ladies~ United after 2 years XD If you like these Chibi Dolls, you may like to check out other sets I’ve made: XianJian 5, Sailor Moon, No Regrets (TVB) and Beyond the Realm of Conscience

Dear Chibi,
A few months ago I drew chibi dolls of the cast from TVB drama ‘Beyond the Realm of Conscience‘ for K for TVB. This included a character called ‘Lau Sam Ho’ who was performed by actress Charmaine Sheh.
A week ago, a Malaysian fan of Charmaine Sheh contacted me saying she was going to visit Malaysia and the fan club wanted to make a cake for her based on my chibi drawing. I thought- ‘oh why not’, so gave her a reply and didn’t expect anything to come out of it.
It turns out it really went ahead, and Charmaine actually got the cake with my drawing on it 8D That’s pretty awesome! (Even though I don’t get any credit for the original) She recently started up a weibo account (Chinese equivalent of Twitter) and posted a picture of it as her first entry too, hehehee!
Here are two lovely photos I was recently sent as a token of appreciation ^.^ (She asked me to watermark them so I did)

Looks good to me 8D

Dear Chibi,
Today I worked on a new set of ‘Chibi Dolls’ for K-TVB.net featuring the cast from TVB drama ‘Beyond the Realm of Conscience‘ :) It was tricky finding references since their clothing and accessories were quite detailed. The wigs confused me a lot. lol I tried to fit as much detail I could onto these tiny things, and I’m quite happy with how they turned out.
These bases were completely re-drawn and aren’t the same as the Sailor Moon chibis dolls I used in the past. I think it’s time to give it an update so the lines are cleaner :)
Beyond the Realm of Conscience (TVB)
Tavia Yeung as Yiu Kam Ling
The first doll I worked on.
Charmaine Sheh as Lau Sam Ho
Selena Li as Man Po-yin
She turned out way cuter than I thought she would, yay.

Dear Chibi,
I’m absolutely over the mooooonnnn ^_______^!! Today Kaz, Jacky and I went to China Town for TVB’s Linda Chung and Moses Chan’s autograph session! To be eligible for an autograph, we needed to spend $30+ at a store in Sussex Centre to go into a draw. Kaz entered and was lucky enough to win a ticket!! :D She was also allowed to bring two friends along and invited me and Jacky, yay.
We arrived at 12pm to redeem our tickets and went to have some drinks to cool ourselves down :) We went back there at 1.20pm to start queuing up and we were 2nd in line! How awesome is that? They made their appearance at 2pm and at that very moment, the queue kind of went crazy and people just pushed in and jumped all over the place ^^;; IT WAS SOOO EXCITING!! I was surprised how happy I was actually- I didn’t think I would be THIS excited to see them, but I went crazy too. lol There was sooo much competition for a good shot of them, but alas.. I think I dominated!!! :D :D :D
I mean seriously… can anyone get a better view of them than this???? No randoms in the way!!! YAAAAAYYY!!! XD I didn’t even zoom-in for this picture- I was that close to them! So happy..lol
aww..they waved at us ^.^
Linda and Moses recording a footage promoting TVB XD Yes, their recording camera was RIGHT next to me!! ahahaha…which is why my view was so good ^^

Dear Chibi,
I just finished watching ‘The Legend of Demi Gods’ and had the urge to draw these! I really do love some of the characters, especially ‘An Hei’ (the 4th character), Ho Choi Mui (middle) and the Swordsman Spirit (5th character). They were rather fun to draw but it was challenging finding reference pics.
These artwork are also displayed on K-TVB.net
I’ve also drawn Sailor Moon characters in this style too. You can find them here.
