Dear Chibi,
2 days ago, we finally got to watch the very first episode of the highly anticipated new Sailor Moon reboot: ‘Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal‘
..AND I LOVED IT!! IT WAS FREAKIN AMAZINNNNGG!!! :D :D :D
I basically spent the entire weekend re-watching the episode over and over~ and listening to the new theme song ‘Moon Pride‘ by Momoiro Clover Z on loop. It’s no surprise why it’s been stuck in my head ever since. But hey, I don’t mind one bit! :D
When I first saw the teaser trailer, I had some mixed feelings. I liked it, but it also seemed a bit low budget and it worried me. I tried my best to remain optimistic. You never know until you’ve seen the real deal, right?
So July 5th was drawing near…we’d already spent months counting down to this date. However, an exclusive event in Japan was announced for June 30th for Usagi’s Birthday, with an advanced screening of the first episode. This meant that there were going to be people who would see it before everyone else. I knew the chances of leaked footages and visuals were highly likely. I really dislike spoilers, especially for something I care so much about. It was only 5 days away… There was no way I’d let others ruin it for me. I decided to avoid social media and all Sailor Moon related websites altogether. I had unsubscribed myself from all Sailor Moon pages from Facebook so nothing would come up on my news feed. It was a bit hard at first (always tempted to tweet!), but it helped a lot that I was really busy with work which took my mind off it. IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT! :D NO REGRETS!
I was so nervous staring at the countdown timer on Crunchyroll… my heart was racing! When the opening credits started playing, I started screaming with joy. I had this massive smile on my face the entire time. It basically blew my mind. OMG THE FEELS T^T
I love this sequence so much :3 It has such a beautiful vibe to it..

Dear Chibi,
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!! My Moon Stick Proplica (Prop Replica) finally arrived, and it’s BEAUTIFULLLLL AHHHHHHHHHHHH!! :D :D :D
The first time I held this wand, I wanted to cry~ it was a special little moment for me :3
Rayfy, Steffi, Marcus and MZ preordered this for my birthday and I finally got a chance to pick it up from Rayfy tonight. I’ve been wanting to get this since it was first announced~ so it’s been quite a long wait, but totally worth it!
Thanks guysssssssss <3
Now let’s have a look at the stick itself, shall we? ;D
The box is elegant and simple. I like! It would have been nice to have a clear plastic front to display the wand inside the box, but it comes with a pretty stand so I don’t mind ^___^
It feels a bit strange seeing the word “Moon Stick” like this. I’m so used to the word being associated with my MoonSticks comics ^.^

If only they had her Eternal compact too…
My thoughts on the new Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Tribute Album

Dear Chibi,
In 2 days time, the new Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Tribute Album will be out in Japan and about a week ago they released a preview of the songs. You can check it out here.
1- “Moonlight Densetsu” – Momoiro Clover Z
The vocals sound okay. I love the music, but I don’t really like Momoiro Clover Z. They will be singing the opening and closing themes to the new Sailor Moon anime coming out this year.
2- “HEART MOVING” – Shoko Nakagawa
I wish Shoko Nakagawa sung the entire album. XD She has done some amazing Sailor Moon covers, including Moonlight Densetsu (sounds way better than Momoiro Clover Z’s version), Otome no Policy and Sailor Star Song. She’s great and can cover any anime song, really.
3- “Princess Moon”– Haruka Fukuhara
4- “Otome no Policy” – Etsuko Yakushimaru
In my opinion, Otome no Policy is by far the worse cover in the album. Why? The song is supposed to be upbeat and full of energy, but in this version it feels like the artist is completely out of breath. Or something. It doesn’t capture the essence of the song at all. I don’t like what they did to the music either. Normally I wouldn’t mind this kind of voice, it’s really fitting for certain songs (like the Fruits Basket opening)~ but I feel like they just got this all wrong.

Dear Chibi,
I received Evangelion: 1.11 and 2.22 Blu-Ray in the mail about a week ago but haven’t had the chance to sit down and write about it until now :D
Let me start off by saying… I haven’t really watched Evangelion before. Well, I have a little bit back in my early high school days but that was so long ago and in-sequential that it didn’t make much sense XD Hopefully watching the movies this time around will be a more fulfilling experience. I want to know what the fuss is all about!
Evangelion: 1.11 You are (NOT) Alone and 2.22 You Can (NOT) Advance
The two came in a very well packaged box. I had a pleasant time un-boxing it and I loooove the look of these. The plain orange and red on the slip covers work well. Since these were part of a series/collection, I lined them up to see how they’d looked together:
One side features a face of Shinji Ikari and Mari Illustrious Makinami (new character in the movie)

Dear Chibi,
Last night I finally got the chance to sit down and watch 1 of the 4 movies included in the Inuyasha Movie Collection. It’s been a while since I’ve seen Inuyasha, so I looked forward to viewing the movie with a fresh mindset. The first movie is titled “Affections Touching Across Time” which refers to the romantic relationship and feelings between Inuyasha and Kagome. Now if you ship this pairing, you’ll love this movie. There’s plenty of action and humor to entertain, but I personally found the romantic aspect the most appealing and satisfying.
