Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s Sydney Concert @Big Top Luna Park

25th June 2016

Dear Chibi,

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu 5IVE YEARS MONSTER WORLD TOUR 2016

Kyyaaryyyyy :D Last night Hubby and I came back from j-pop princess Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s concert held at Luna Park! It’s a one night show in Sydney as part of her “KPP 5iVE Years Monster World Tour 2016”. I was lucky enough to win a double pass to the show, so Hubby and I were both super excited!! We first discovered her music while on our Japan trip back in 2012. Her music video was playing on a large billboard in Shibuya, and her song “Candy Candy” caught our attention. Who would’ve known 4 years later she would perform in Sydney, and that we’d get a chance to see her live?

It was a standing concert and we managed to get a pretty good spot up near the front (on the second row). Loved the atmosphere, many fans cosplayed and dressed up. I might’ve done something if I didn’t have to come after work XD We weren’t allowed to use our proper cameras, so here’s some pics I took on the night with my phone. Still pretty decent quality :)

Kyary was so cute >w<! It was a simple gig, but really enjoyable. She danced the whole night, wore 3 different outfits and got the crowd pumped. I knew around 80% of the songs, while Hubby knew 100% ;D Shows who’s the bigger fan doesn’t it? He was waiting for her to sing “Kimi ni 100 Percent”, and lucky for him she performed it during the encore :D

29th August 2014

Part 1: I flew to Japan for the Sailor Moon Musical (and it was awesome!)

Dear Chibi,

JapanTrip2014-34

On Sunday 24th August, Kaz and I dressed up in a Yukata to experience Japan’s Summer Festival for the first time!! And what better festival to check out, than the one in Azabu Juban where the story Sailor Moon is set? We managed to find these Yukata sets in Harajuku (Takeshita Dori) for a reasonable price. We’ve never worn one before, but luckily thanks to youtube, it wasn’t too difficult and was a lot of fun to wear! We met up with Brad in the afternoon at Hiroo Station, who then took us around to several Sailor Moon real life locations! YOU ARE AWESOME BRAD, THANK YOU :D!

Arisugawa No Miya Memorial Park

A lot of scenes from Sailor Moon took place in this park :D

Part 1: I flew to Japan for the Sailor Moon Musical (and it was awesome!)

29th August 2014

Dear Chibi,

I’m finally back from my “SAILOR MOON TRIP TO JAPAN” adventure~ flying to Tokyo for the Sailor Moon Musical :D Instead of always ‘wishing I was there’, I decided I was going to make it happen this time. The idea itself excited me just as much as being there :D Sailor Moon is one of my most favourite things ever, so being able to watch a live show for its 20th Anniversary, meeting other moonies, buying merch and shopping in Tokyo in general (I LOVE JAPAN)~ was going to be great. So the journey begins, with just me and Kaz (my twin sister) who’s also into Sailor Moon!

Unfortunately, the trip didn’t go as smoothly as I had hoped. The moment I got off the plane from Narita Airport, I was hit with the crazy humidity and 36°C heat and got sick… so sick that I end up wasting an entire day lying on a couch without air con :’D Thankfully, Kaz came home that night with some dinner and meds for me :D She spent the day exploring Shibuya herself.

Kaz with our 7-Eleven dinner :’D We stayed in Shin-Okubo.

The next day was the day of the the Musical~ Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon: Petite Étrangèr :D :D Brad helped us and Cycyn get tickets to the first show, so we met up to see it together. Both Brad and Cycyn have been my long-time online Sailor Moon friends, and it was my first time meeting Cycyn in person!! SHE IS SO CUTE AND BUBBLY!! AHHH I’M SO HAPPY I COULD FINALLY MEET HER :D!! (She’s even appeared in my dream before…lol that sounds kinda creepy XD)

Sailor Moon Goodies from Japan

30th April 2012

Dear Chibi,

I wasn’t expecting to find much (if anything) related to Sailor Moon while in Japan, but I kept my eye out for them anyway :) As some of you may know, I don’t have much of a Sailor Moon collection.  I wrote a little bit about it here when I bought my first Eternal Sailor Moon gashaphon. Other goodies I own include the manga (Chinese), some VCDs, stickers/cards, gifts from HK and Sailor Moon cels.

Anyway, this entry isn’t about sharing my mini collection, but rather, the stuff I did manage to find in Japan and the stuff I bought :D All of these items are official and not bootlegged :)

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Bandai doll

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (Live Action) Sailor Moon doll
(Bandai 2003) Second hand, box unopened.

I love this one so much :3  I’ve always wanted to own a Sailor Moon doll, and I’m glad this is the first “doll” I’ve ever had in my life XD (I never had any dolls as a child) I found this gem at a little old store in Mitaka on my way back to the station after checking out Ghibli Studio Museum.

PGSM Live Action gashapon set

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon gashapon set (new) @ Golden Age in Akihabara

Golden Age sells some really really old stuff. The store is full of dust but that only excited me more XD I spent a good amount of time here going through boxes and shelves and finally came across these. These were new. yaaay. The store owner was really nice, and when I picked these up he informed me these were from the Live Action incase I was looking for anime versions. Of course, I knew that already but I appreciate how he informed me and not just try to sell his stuff. It was also in this store where I found a Luna P ball! More about that down below XD

Sailor Moon Gashapons

Eternal Sailor Moon, Figure Maniacs Sailor Moon and Usagi (Sailor Moon World (Series 5) gashapon)

I was really happy to find the Figure Maniacs Sailor Moon. I love it so much and have always wanted her >w< The style is very different to the others and the detail is pretty amazing. I found her and Usagi with the ice-cream from the same store in Akihabara. I also found a Super Sailor Moon gashapon at another store but decided to pass since the store owner was nowhere to be seen >.>;; Usagi with the icecream and Eternal Sailor Moon actually come from the same series set :D

Dear Chibi,

My good friend Marcus recently returned from his month trip to Hong Kong and Japan, and brought back so many goodies =DDD

Hong Kong MTR Sailor Moon Souvenir Ticket Series

MTR Sailor Moon Souvenir Tickets

MTR Classic Anime Souvenir Tickets featuring new Sailor Moon artwork!! These include three souvenir tickets with the Inner senshi, a ticket holder, and key-chain. These were only available in Hong Kong for a very limited time and were sold out so quickly! I’m so happy he managed to get them :D Then again, he did line up for them the day they came out. Oh so awesome.

Sailor Moon gifts

Look at that SHIIINNNNY card in the middle o.o These cards are so nostalgic… I still have the ones I collected as a child sitting in my draw.
