Dear Chibi,

Last month (oh my, it’s December already?), we went away to celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary with family time at the beach. We stayed at Pelican in the city of Lake Macquarie and explored some lovely local beaches. P-chan had an absolute blast splashing in the waves. His big beautiful smile says it all <3

Dear Chibi,

On our final day of our trip, we took P-chan to the Early Start Discovery Space in Wollongong for a play. It was really really cool! I wish this museum was closer to home so I can come here with P-chan all the time. So much to explore and lots of different play spaces. Here are just a few snapshots from the day:

Dear Chibi,

We spent the next day at the NSW Rail Museum at Thirlmere for “A Day Out with Thomas”. We were here just 6 months ago, but this event was all about P-chan’s favourite show, so we had to visit again :D We arrived early to avoid the busy crowd and queues and end up staying for 6 hours of fun! So glad the weather held up for us.

Next up we went for the mini train rides. P-chan enjoyed it very much and wanted to go on it again and again. Thankfully the lines weren’t too bad at this time so we went three times XD.

Dear Chibi,

Last weekend we went down south to Wollongong for 3 days to celebrate my birthday :) I like to think of it as a joint birthday getaway, but Hubby insists to make it all about me. Feeling a lot of love from my boys. Thank you to everyone who wished me a ‘Happy Birthday’ too :)

We started the day with a delicious breakfast at our local cafe. P-chan enjoyed his babyccino very much ^.^

We’ve reached our final day of our trip, where we made a couple of stops on our way home. First we had a late breakfast at Common Ground Bakery in Picton. It had a really lovely outdoor area in the garden which P-chan loved to explore. They were mostly doing take-away, so we basically had the whole place to ourselves. Sweet!

Food was amazing. Everything was so delicious, especially the pumpkin soup *_* Possibly the best pumpkin soup we’ve ever had!

Farm Stay Weekend Part 1: Strawberry Picking

The next morning we found chickens at our door step having some breakfast. P-chan watched as he munched on a little sandwich of his own.

Heading down to the cages, we were delighted to find a freshly laid egg on the ground! Score 8D!

Dear Chibi,

15th of November marked our 7 year wedding anniversary! We went away for three days and two nights, relaxing at a farm stay and visiting surrounding areas. Our first event was strawberry picking at Thirlmere and it was such an amazing experience! SO FUN!! The strawberries were so delicious, fresh, juicy and sweet…oh, and massive. These are the biggest strawberries I’ve ever had. Oh my goodness, I didn’t expect us to be this excited but we were! It was all smiles for P-chan as he gobbled up as many strawberries as he could (and so did we!) :D
