Dear Chibi,
I finally got around to drawing a new Sailor Moon fanart :) A lot of my recent Sailor Moon related art has been in the form of comic strips (MoonSticks) or Chibi Dolls. It’s only when I realised the other day that my last proper fanart was from 4 years ago (Eternal Sailor Moon), that I knew it was time for a new one.
I really enjoyed the process of making this. It took roughly 12 hours from sketch to finish and I’m really happy with how she turned out. I hope you love it as much as I do.
For the first time, I took a bit of inspiration from the manga version of Sailor Moon (the wavy skirt, accessories etc), but drew her in my own style. It feels liberating :D
I think her legs may be a little awkward there, but hopefully it’s okay :)

Dear Chibi,
Today I worked on two new Chibi Dolls of Tang Xue Jian and Long Kui, characters from Chinese Paladin 3 (drama). 2 years ago, I made a set with Zixuan in her various outfits. You can find them here. I’ve been meaning to draw Xue Jian for a while now (for a years actually) because I love her outfit.. it’s so pretty and pink and girlie and dressy XD Needless to say I really enjoyed drawing her :)
Tang Xue Jian
Long Kui
This isn’t the first time I’ve drawn Long Kui, but back then I hadn’t even seen the drama XD You can find my old painting of her here. Long Kui wasn’t as fun to draw, mainly because her character design didn’t appeal to me as much. I like drawing characters with a fringe but she doesn’t have one, lol. Just personal preference.
And.. a group shot with all three ladies~ United after 2 years XD If you like these Chibi Dolls, you may like to check out other sets I’ve made: XianJian 5, Sailor Moon, No Regrets (TVB) and Beyond the Realm of Conscience

Dear Chibi,
Today I created a Chibi Doll of Avery Danielle as Sailor Moon in “Sailor Moon the Movie” (Independent Short). I really like their costume design and the mask make-up is a great idea :)
You can adopt the Chibi Doll (Miniature version) from Chibi Land as well as the original Sailor Moon characters :) Hope you like it! Have fun.

Dear Chibi,
Just in time for the XianJian QiXia Zhuan 5 game release in July 07, 2011- I’ve completed a set of ‘Chibi Dolls’ of the four main leads: Jiang Yun Fan, Tang Yu Rou, Longyou and Xiao Man.
Jiang Yun Fan was probably the easiest to draw out of the four, since his outfit was relatively straight forward (well..compared to the others!) I found it strange that both his shoes were different, but I guess no one likes things in pairs anymore :p
Tang Yu Rou was the first of the set I drew. I really like her character design, especially the petal dress. I had a fun time drawing her :) This one is dedicated to a lovely person.
Long You was rather tedious to draw, lol. His outfit is really confusing and it was a little hard finding a good reference image since most of them were slightly on an angle. I like how it turned out though, his hair was kinda fun to draw too.
Xiao Man..why are you so adorable? She turned out to be my favourite chibi doll (beating Tang Yu Rou by a teeeny weeeny bit). I don’t know, but she came out way better than I thought. I had a lot of trouble getting her hair shape right with the bandana. Her outfit may appear simple but it’s very very detailed! There’s a lot of texture /beads and colours on the fabric. Her hair piece was also good fun to draw :)
And…I guess that’s it for now. Hope you enjoyed looking at them :}

Dear Chibi,
Yay! I’ve finally completed my latest digital painting.. a portrait of Hong Kong singer Charlene Choi (Twins) which I named “Chocolate Princess” :) I started this a week ago and spent about 25-30 hours on it total- pretty crazy huh? I based this image entirely off a reference image- so nope, I didn’t make her up. Maybe one day I’ll be good enough to paint without a reference (though that will be super tough!)
This artwork is my personal best so far so I hope you like it too!
Special thanks to Maki who gave me a crash course on how to blend colours yesterday (when the painting was almost done! haha). I was having a lot of trouble blending colours and it gave me an idea of how to tackle it (though I didn’t follow it exactly, I adapted it to my own style) You can compare the difference with the 2nd picture above with the one below.
Close up of the finished painting at 100% scale.
My favourite parts: Her eyes, her hair with the melting chocolate and the left side of her dress
Most difficult aspect: Her face (in particular her lips), painting/blending skin tone and colouring her dress
Final comments: The fur on her back was fun to paint (though very tiring since I drew every stroke)
I like how she looks in the end, except her face is slightly more chubby than I’d like (it looked thinner in previous revisions but in the end the lighting made her more round.. and I couldn’t fix it, haha)

Dear Chibi,
A few months ago I drew chibi dolls of the cast from TVB drama ‘Beyond the Realm of Conscience‘ for K for TVB. This included a character called ‘Lau Sam Ho’ who was performed by actress Charmaine Sheh.
A week ago, a Malaysian fan of Charmaine Sheh contacted me saying she was going to visit Malaysia and the fan club wanted to make a cake for her based on my chibi drawing. I thought- ‘oh why not’, so gave her a reply and didn’t expect anything to come out of it.
It turns out it really went ahead, and Charmaine actually got the cake with my drawing on it 8D That’s pretty awesome! (Even though I don’t get any credit for the original) She recently started up a weibo account (Chinese equivalent of Twitter) and posted a picture of it as her first entry too, hehehee!
Here are two lovely photos I was recently sent as a token of appreciation ^.^ (She asked me to watermark them so I did)

Looks good to me 8D

Dear Chibi,
Today I worked on a new set of ‘Chibi Dolls’ for K-TVB.net featuring the cast from TVB drama ‘Beyond the Realm of Conscience‘ :) It was tricky finding references since their clothing and accessories were quite detailed. The wigs confused me a lot. lol I tried to fit as much detail I could onto these tiny things, and I’m quite happy with how they turned out.
These bases were completely re-drawn and aren’t the same as the Sailor Moon chibis dolls I used in the past. I think it’s time to give it an update so the lines are cleaner :)
Beyond the Realm of Conscience (TVB)
Tavia Yeung as Yiu Kam Ling
The first doll I worked on.
Charmaine Sheh as Lau Sam Ho
Selena Li as Man Po-yin
She turned out way cuter than I thought she would, yay.
