Birthday Trip Part 2: Day out with Thomas
28th May 2022 at 10:04 am
Dear Chibi,
We spent the next day at the NSW Rail Museum at Thirlmere for “A Day Out with Thomas”. We were here just 6 months ago, but this event was all about P-chan’s favourite show, so we had to visit again :D We arrived early to avoid the busy crowd and queues and end up staying for 6 hours of fun! So glad the weather held up for us.
A picture with Thomas after tooting his whistle in the driver’s cab. It was playing lots of upbeat Thomas songs but they were all new gen XD. Need some more love for the original.
Next up we went for the mini train rides. P-chan enjoyed it very much and wanted to go on it again and again. Thankfully the lines weren’t too bad at this time so we went three times XD.
We got to ride James first.
Second time with Daddy it was James again.
And third time we finally got Thomas.
It’s Toby the Rail Motor :O
Toby will always be P-chan’s first favourite character.
Time for a short ride inside!
Thomas themed jumping castle was a lot of fun.
Next we went to the Imagination Station where P-chan played with various toys and puzzles.
And some colouring sheets. The girl next door is determined to win this colouring competition XD
We met with the Fat Controller a couple of times throughout the day. He was very much in character XD P-chan kept pointing him out whenever he walked by.
Donald looking pretty epic. I found it amusing how so many parents said to their kids ‘Look, it’s Thomas!” XD
We ended the day with a visit to Sodor Station and said our good byes with the Fat Controller. We watched as the final train left for the day.
Good bye Sodor. It was such a magical day for our little boy :3 Thanks for a great day out!
