Seafood Sunday!

May 1st, 2016

Dear Chibi,

Last night I saw pictures of juicy fresh oysters my parents-in-law had posted and I suddenly had an oyster craving myself. So today, Hubby took me to the Sydney Fish Markets for some fresh seafood goodness! :D We also bought some salmon to take home, for Hubby to make delicious sushi for dinner. My favourite!

Afterward, we went swimming again (second time in three days) and started to learn freestyle, woo! I’m still practising breaststroke of course ;D

I also have an exciting news to share~ my sister-in-law Sandra gave birth to a baby boy yesterday :D! I didn’t expect it to be so soon!! Congrats to both Alan and Sandra! Can’t wait to meet little Chrono 8D (His name hasn’t been decided yet so we’ll just call him baby Chrono Chan for now)

kerrybridalparty06

Dear Chibi,

Today Kaz invited us girls over to her place to watch her full Wedding Day video! It’s almost 5 months since her big day, yet everything still feels very fresh in my mind (Guess that’s what happens when you blog it ;D You can read the full thing here.)

My first lap ever

April 9th, 2016

Dear Chibi,

Last night I managed to breaststroke across a whole 25m pool in one go, yaaaaaaay :D!! This is my biggest achievement in the pool so far and it’s such a great feeling ^___^ I still have so much to improve on, but I know that I will only get better with practise. Yesterday I swam 20 laps (mostly in parts). I’m hoping I’ll be able to do entire laps consistently.

YOU CAN DO THIS CHIBI!

:D

Swimming progress

March 28th, 2016

Dear Chibi,

Hubby and I have been going to the pools once a week (sometimes twice) for my swimming lessons. I feel like I’m making good progress with my breaststroke :D We usually spend about an hour in the pool, followed by 20 minutes relaxing in the spa and about 10 minutes sweating away in the sauna. It’s such a great way to spend a Friday night.

It’s going to take time and practise, but I’m enjoying every moment of it :D

Gifts from Thailand

March 27th, 2016

Dear Chibi,

gifts-from-thailand

I got these gifts from Kaz & Jia from their recent Honeymoon in Thailand :D Gotta love that colour scheme going on ^^ That ‘chibi’ passport cover and Sailor Moon micro block :O Just gotta get Hubby to build it for me (since I can’t build to save my life ;D)

Thankies!!

Back to shorter hair and now onto steps!

February 28th, 2016

Dear Chibi,

I’ve been sick the last 2 weeks but I’ve mostly recovered now and I feel great! LIFE IS WONDERFUL :’D *sniff*
I also got my hair cut & coloured yesterday at Shinka Hair Salon. Looks like I’ve become a regular customer 8D (and by ‘regular’ I mean going there once every 5 months XD ahahAHAH.) I quite like this short-medium length :3

Last week I started using the ‘Pacer’ app to track the amount of steps I do a day. The minimum goal is 10,000 a day and so far my average is 13,511, with max day being 23,259. Seeing as I’m always sitting down a lot at home and at work, I should probably get up and move around more. So far this app has been rather motivating :D Hubby’s been using this app for a long time now, and it’s fun being able to see the amount he does throughout the day.

If anyone else uses this, let me know and I’ll add you as a friend ;D

Wallace Huo & Hu Ge ~ Winter Bromance

February 23rd, 2016

Dear Chibi,

I’m almost 29 and I can’t stop fangirling over Wallace Huo!! *A*

I also love his on and off-screen chemistry with fellow co-star Hu Ge from Chinese Paladin 3. They recently did a photo shoot together in Hokkaido for the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar China- “Winter Valentines”. I need this *cough* 8D

Learning to swim

February 14th, 2016

Dear Chibi,

I have a confession. I’ve been going to swimming lessons since second grade up til end of High School and I still can’t swim. Every time I take a breath,  I sink. Maybe my lungs are too small. Maybe my arms aren’t strong enough. Maybe water and I were never meant to be :’D

Of course, those are just silly excuses I made to feel better about myself. More likely than not, I’m just doing it wrong. Now with Hubby’s help, I am hoping to change that! It’s never too late to learn, right?

This Saturday afternoon, Hubby and I visited the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. It’s been years since either of us have been here (possibly 15 years for me!) so I was excited just to check it out. Oh the nostalgia…

Not much has actually changed (except everything feels shallow and smaller XD). There’s still the water slide and the ‘Rapid River Ride’ which was always a favourite. Now they have an additional water playground area with a big water bucket.

YES. NBA All Star game coming up!

February 12th, 2016

Dear Chibi,

For those who don’t know, I started following the NBA some time last year. Well to be precise, I only follow the Warriors, hehee. I’m slowly learning about the other players from other teams, but it’s really just the Warriors that I’m most interested in :3

Hubby recently bought me this awesome Curry jersey and I LOVE IT <3 :D

The NBA All Star game is coming soon~ can’t wait to watch it :3

Reflection on 2015

December 19th, 2015

Dear Chibi,

2015 is coming to an end… just 3 more days of work till the Christmas/New Years break~ WOOHOO! :D

I’ve now experienced one full year of marriage life, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best things that’s happened to me :) Usually when I look back at a year, I point out things like holidays and milestones, but this time it’s more of a general feel. The highlights were the ‘normal’ every day things. I guess life has been treating me well : )

Since moving out, I feel like I’ve grown and learned a lot. I’m 28 and I’m finally starting to feel like an adult. Sort-of~ XD. I’m loving the freedom and independence that comes with that. The responsibilities like house chores and cooking really doesn’t bother me that much. I actually feel a great sense of satisfaction when I cook a meal, or get up early on a weekend to do the laundry. Hah, I sound like a housewife 8D

I also love my cat. A lot :3 Just seeing Champy’s cute face is enough to lift my mood~ he’s the cutest, funniest little cat ever!

And of course.. I owe a lot of it to Hub :3  Thank you Hubby :)
