I’ve always loved checking out new Sailor Moon fan creations, whether it’s fanart, cosplay, webmanga, fansites, toys, films, anything! Considering how old the series is, it’s really amazing how strong and passionate the Sailor Moon fan community is today :)

With Sailor Moon’s 20th Anniversary just around the corner, I’ve decided to share a small selection of moonie projects that I like. There are a ton of stuff out there, so this is just a tiny glimpse of awesomeness :}

Dear Chibi,

About a month ago, I received an email from Image Edizioni, an Italian company who produces “Sailor Bandz”- a new Sailor Moon merchandise which are basically moonie-flavored rubber bands! Now I have to admit, when I first saw the email I thought it was spam. I didn’t click on any links (incase it had a virus!) and took it to twitter to get some confirmation. It turns out it is genuine and several other Sailor Moon webmasters have been contacted. So I sent a reply to them and today.. I received this in the mail:

OMG. BANDZ GALORE XD I was all jumpy and giggly when I opened the package. I feel like a kid again :D I mean, they are just silicon rubber, but they’re moonie themed and they glow-in-the-dark and are glittery… :3 Plus, who doesn’t love freebies?

About a week ago I purchased my first 2 Sailor Moon animation cels from luna-art.com :) The whole purchase process was not without dilemmas (they’re very expensive!), but in the end I knew it was something I’ve always wanted to have~ an actual piece used in the production of Sailor Moon :}

Kaz helped me pick them up from the Post Office yesterday, and I was so excited (and nervous) at the same time. I opened the box and was pleasantly surprised ^____^!

Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus…appearing cool as usual.

Oh soooo cute!! <3 I love this pairing so much, and Helios doesn’t make many appearances >w<

There’s some line fading throughout these cels (black lines turning orange) due to its age~ which is a bit of a shame. I hope they’ll last for many many years to come :}

Originally I wanted to get them framed, but after lots of research, I realised it’s best to keep them stored and protected safely away instead. At the end of the day, when it fades away, there’ll be nothing left :'{ Now I’ll just have to buy a good portfolio folder to store them in.

Ahh I love these! I hope nothing ever happens to them.

wheeee…moonie doodle =) Yes I know, it’s been like.. 3 months since I posted anything. Sorry >_< For the past 2 months or so I’ve been busy making a bunch of Chibi (Sailor Moon) Dolls for my website. You can check them out here.

Well, the above was a present for a online friend’s 7th year web anniversary. It was fun to draw. Rough, but still cute :3 I like it!

I bought a Eve Angel sketch book back in 1999 when I was in Year 7, when cute things like Korean stickers and diaries were getting popular. Back in those days we seem to just buy things even though there’s no particular use for them (i.e we’d collect stickers and swap diary refills etc but never use any of them anyway) Well, at least the book had a purpose =) Some of my early Sailor Moon drawings have still been kept because of it, and so I’m glad I did use it. All the above drawings were copied off existing Sailor Moon pictures, as I was still learning to draw and copying was the easiest method. I also realised that I had drawn a lot of Chibiusa/Sailor Chibimoon drawings o_o- and now I don’t really draw any. Was she my favourite character back then or something? XD

haha, anyways- it was fun looking back at them. I wish I had kept even earlier pictures… even if they probably looked really bad.
