Dear Chibi,
AH, Starcraft 2. It’s been months (years?) since I last played Heart of the Swarm, and I wasn’t sure if I would end up getting the new Legacy of the Void protoss expansion~ but it’s Christmas time, and my bro is awesome so… NOW I’VE GOT THE GAME 8D
Oh these note pads :’D. This is gonna sound silly but I’m slightly disappointed by the fact this notepad design is not Protoss/Starcraft exclusive. Where’s the consistency? I don’t want a generic Blizzard image, XP.
I spent some time checking out the new features, game modes (archon mode, CO-OP, vs AI) and had a glimpse of the new units. Most of the game feels about the same, except I’ll probably have to learn new build order/openings since the timing is all crazy off with additional starting workers, and less mineral patches. Interesting to see how I can incorporate the new Terran units too. They’re kinda weird at the moment, haha.
Well, I guess it’s time to Find Match! :D
Sailor Moon officially released on DVD in Australia!

Dear Chibi,
YESSSSSSSSS. I am shedding happy tears :’D I’ve finally got a hold of Madman’s newly released Sailor Moon Season 1 Part 1 on DVD! I was over the moon when I first heard Madman had officially acquired both the 90s Sailor Moon anime (all 200 episodes and movies!) and Sailor Moon Crystal. This is a pretty big deal, as Sailor Moon has never been released in Australia complete, remastered, uncensored and uncut :D WOOO!
This new release features a brand new English dub by Viz Media. Having grown up watching the original English dub by DiC, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the change. However, I came into the first episode feeling rather refreshed by Stephanie Sheh’s take on Usagi. I had this massive smile on my face the entire time. I hope the other major characters have suitable voices too. But of course, if you prefer to watch it in Japanese, that too is available with English subtitles.
I know a lot of you might be curious about the video quality, compared to the DVDs released in the US. Instead of following suit with Viz Media, Madman used the same video masters as the European release~ which I believe is a fantastic choice! I was very pleased with the video. Everything looks so pretty and detailed! This DVD seems to tick all the boxes.
Lets have a look at the packaging:
Ooohhh..niceeee.
This DVD comes with 4 discs and contains the first 24 episodes. The extras include behind the scenes of the new English dub as well as textless songs. It uses the original 4:3 aspect ratio.

A week in Tasmania Part 1: Hobart
A week in Tassie Part 2: Coles Bay & Freycinet
Dear Chibi,
It was time for our final stretch to Launceston (and final blog entry for this trip)!
The drive was another 2 hours. We made a brief stop at Campbell Town which was in the middle of Launceston & Freycinet (And because Hubby was so obsessed with the name Campbell Town ;D)

Dear Chibi,
For our one year wedding anniversary, Hubby and I flew down to Tasmania where we spent 7 days exploring this beautiful little island, making our way up from Hobart to Launceston!
Maccas for breakfast @Sydney Airport. I would like 3 sugars with that please!
The flight was quick and painless, in a mere 1.5 hour we had arrived in Hobart (I beat the first level of Super Hexagon, woo~ go me!) We picked up our rental car and got a free upgrade for it ~ yay, lucky us :D
Unfortunately it was raining on the first day so we didn’t do too much. We explored the CBD and checked-in to our hotel at Bay View Villas, where we stayed for 2 nights.
Lunch @Sakura Sushi (but I decided to go for good old Chinese Soy Chicken Noodles XP)
We found the prices of food here to be generally quite expensive. On average a simple meal would cost you $25 a person excluding a drink. But hey, Tassie is kind of a touristy place and we are in Australia so we just came to accept it as the norm 8D
At around 8pm, the sun was still shining outside. Hubby and I started to look for a place for dinner and were quite surprised a lot of the restaurants were already closing! Dai pinchie XD!

Comments Off on Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Rebellion- Collector’s Edition (Blu-Ray)
Dear Chibi,
After seeing the first two Madoka movies late last year, I was curious to see what would happen in it’s third and final movie: Rebellion. I thought the ending of the second movie wrapped up nicely, and had a sense of completion. Luckily, the third movie didn’t feel like it was made for the sake of continuing, but genuinely had some new concepts to explore. And frankly, seeing as the first two movies were simply a rehash of the animated TV series, I’m sure fans would appreciate the new content. The animation and art look stunning as usual (It has some majestic action scenes *_*).
However, the ending has left me with rather mixed feelings. It has one of those confusing Evanglion-type finales, where you’re left wondering “What just happened?” I mean it kinnnnnd of makes sense, but I don’t know if its for the better or worse. It changes your whole perception of a character you thought you knew and loved. HAH. I hope that wasn’t too spoiler-ish.
What did you think of Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie – Rebellion? Are you satisfied with the ending, or do you want a sequel? Share your thoughts in the comments below (Spoilers allowed ;D)
Now, let’s have a look at this Collector’s Edition Blu-ray…shall we? ;D
This Collectors Edition Blu-Ray comes with a bunch of goodies:
- Collaboration Manner Videos (Monogatari Series x Madoka)
- Textless Opening and Ending
- Theatrical Trailer of Madoka Rebellion movie
- Commercials (of other anime movie titles)
- Deluxe booklet
- Postcard set (2 postcards by Madman)
- Special Slipcase (Back of the slipcase shows full page image of Homura)
In case you’re wondering about the ‘Monogatari Series x Madoka’ manner videos- these are a series of short animations that were screened in Japan cinemas before the movie started. They basically teach the audience movie etiquette, like not using your phone, talking, smoking, recording or spoiling the story for others. It is pretty cute ;D Monogatari and Madoka are both produced by Shaft, which probably explains the cross-over.
Inside the case, you’ll find two postcards by Madman:
