Once Upon Au Time~ James & Steph’s Wedding
13th November 2016 at 2:46 pm
Dear Chibi,
Yesterday it was an absolute delight witnessing James & Stephanie tie the knot :) They held a beautiful intimate wedding at The Atrium at The Grounds of Alexandria. Hubby met James a few years ago at work, and quickly became one of his best mates and friend for life. Hubby often brings up all the silly mischief him and the ‘Boisenberg’ get up to, and I just know how much of an honor it was for him to be his groomsmen.
Since Hubby was part of the Bridal Party, he had to leave earlier for location shoots. I got to the venue myself via public transport though I did get a bit lost at the station. The Google Maps navigator kept spinning around and I didn’t know which way I was facing (lol, fail XD) I eventually found my way thanks to the Pokemon Gym conveniently located at the venue, ahAhaha ;D
I arrived just around 5.10pm. James, Hubby and Horace were up at the front looking snazzy ;D Guests were starting to be seated for the 5.30pm start.
Here comes the gorgeous bride :D Aww, Steph was so emotional she cried walking down the aisle. What a touching moment.
After the ceremony, there was an hour break where we were served drinks and canape while the newly weds got photos taken. These were delishhh!
We had little honey jars as the bomboniere, and our names were written on a leaf.
Some photobooth fun!
I also got introduced to some of Hubby’s other work friends. All of them were super friendly.
It was time for the reception!
I was expecting to be seated somewhere among other guests, but was really surprised they put me with Hubby at the main bridal table :O I really appreciated the thoughtful gesture. And so, time to mingle with the Groom’s family 8D
Hubby was the first to give a speech that night, and he was so nervous leading up to it! Loved the speech ;)
BlackStar Pastry’s famous strawberry & watermelon cake.
S’more!! This was very cool.
Time for the bouquet toss~ As expected, it went straight into the bushes :’D
We stayed till the end, and was given some pretty flowers to take home :D Loveeee~ On our way back, WE SAW A SHOOTING STAR!! :DDD I’ve never seen one in my life, so the day sure is special ^_^
Congratulations to this beautiful couple! Wishing them both a lifetime of happiness.
You look beautiful Jen Ben! Looks like a lovely ceremony! A shooting star too! Love really was in the air!
