My Sailor Moon Cels

Dear Chibi,
About a week ago I purchased my first 2 Sailor Moon animation cels from luna-art.com :) The whole purchase process was not without dilemmas (they’re very expensive!), but in the end I knew it was something I’ve always wanted to have~ an actual piece used in the production of Sailor Moon :}
Kaz helped me pick them up from the Post Office yesterday, and I was so excited (and nervous) at the same time. I opened the box and was pleasantly surprised ^____^!
Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus…appearing cool as usual.
Oh soooo cute!! <3 I love this pairing so much, and Helios doesn’t make many appearances >w<
There’s some line fading throughout these cels (black lines turning orange) due to its age~ which is a bit of a shame. I hope they’ll last for many many years to come :}
Originally I wanted to get them framed, but after lots of research, I realised it’s best to keep them stored and protected safely away instead. At the end of the day, when it fades away, there’ll be nothing left :'{ Now I’ll just have to buy a good portfolio folder to store them in.
Ahh I love these! I hope nothing ever happens to them.

Have you thought of getting frames with UV protection glass?

Yup, I did! I contemplated on that for sooo long, I even had a dream about it! xD Oh the dilemma..
I was told that though UV protection glass can protect the cel from the sunlight, it still deteriorates much quicker than if stored away from any light.
The thought of these disappearing worried me.. especially when someone sent me a link to this–> http://tinyurl.com/yalxn8y It’s terrible ;_; (even though this seller sounds clueless, and didn’t use UV glass at all!)

Ahh that is awesome!I saw some cels at a convention I went to in August, there was a beautiful Usagi one for $120 but I obviously didn’t have the money with me. I really want to own some cels one day..!
I actually got sucked into the whole US dollar thing..forgot the actual amount counts in AUD for me (which is more) ^^; The price really added up, but I didn’t wanna give it up. >w< Hope you'll get to own some Sailor Moon cels one day :D
Ahh yeah AUD is horrible (aussie here too!!!). It’s what discourages me from most online shopping since shipping and stuff to here always costs so much.

I was wondering who bought the Uranus/Neptune one! I was shocked when I saw it at Luna-Art and no one bought it at first, seems to me those disappear super fast lol…

I think I stumbled onto luna-art a few months ago and then saw the sale page. There’s been some really good ones up for sale before, so I added myself to the mailing list. I didn’t know I would actually buy them! xD
But yeah, when I got an update I was so excited I knew I had to get it.
Actually, someone beat me to the Usagi and Seiya’s date one! That’s another cute one ^^;
Oh, that’s really cool. Yes, indeed they are very expensive. However, having them shows you’re really devoted to the show, which is awesome. I wouldn’t mind cels from some shows, but they’re too expensive for me. Make sure you take good care of them!

Great start to cel collecting. I warn you, it’s addictive. I remember when I got my first Diamond cel. . . . wow, 8 years ago now. I’ve been collecting ever since. ^_^
I’m warned…lol.
If I’ll be collecting more, I’ll make sure they’re ones I can’t live without ^^
Unfortunately, those tend to be the ones that break the bank. My dream cel cost me around $700. I ended up selling a few things to get it, but man it was worth it.
Awesome that you got your cells safe and sound. :) V nice choices. No luck with the whole archival framing huh? It’s a pity just storing them away and never to be seen. But I guess it’d be much worse to see them disappear.
Yeah, I was a bit disappointed I must admit~ but I felt less selfish for keeping them safe than framing them O_o Sounds weird but yeah xD

Hi, I really want to buy a Helios x Chibiusa cel from that site. I noticed that there is an alternate version of the same cel, but it is not in the “for sale” section.
Did you buy yours while it was in the “for sale” section, or did you make an offer? Basically, I would like to make an offer on a cel, and was wondering if you know if the owner of that gallery accepts them. Also, where should I start in terms of asking price? $100? $200?

Would u be able to sell that helios and rini cel i never get one yet and sme ppl keep getting them and im an actual artist and i need stufff of my fave anime to want to animate but everybody keep taking them and i only have one nice good one that no one knows of except on ebay a couple year ago but i never post it back please please let me know if u can sell me that and if u know anyone else that has any helios cels that they wanna sell or not.. Sorry, I’m afraid these cels are not for sale. I’m not a Sailor Moon cel collector, so these are the only two gems I have and I love them very much. You would have better luck checking out other Sailor Moon cel collector sites or have a look on ebay.
