Dear Chibi,

One month to go…. <3

A day out in the rain

16th February 2014

Dear Chibi,

Yesterday Kat, Kaz and I went for round 2 bridal gown shopping in Leichhardt! It was a pretty wet and gloomy day but I’m glad we made use of this Saturday and went out to get things done. We managed to check out 6 different bridal stores and boutiques in just under two hours. I’m pretty impressed by that result XD. We found a plaza which had 2 hours free parking, but we expected to go way over that. Besides, our first appointment was at 10am, and the last at 2pm. To our surprise, we validated our ticket in just 2 minutes under the cut off! Ohhh aren’t we lucky? ;D

We decided to head to New Shanghai in Ashfield to feed our starving selves, and left rather satisfied with the deliciousness of Xiao Long Bao (steamed mini pork bun) and Hot, spicy & sour soup among other yummies :3 (The soup is still my favourite)

Later that night, I met up with Jacky for our Valentines dinner at Hurricane’s Grill in Top Ryde. Mmmm.. more yummy food~

Nothing quite like a beautiful rose to brighten up the day <3 Thanks Maki :3

Bridal Gown Shopping :3

11th February 2014

Dear Chibi,

Today on my day off I started my bridal gown shopping with mum and Aunty Janet. I booked a few appointments for the day, and I was a little nervous about it at first.. but the moment I stepped into a wedding dress..  I couldn’t contain my excitement. It felt like a truly special and magical moment :) I stood there, staring at myself in the mirror…It was so crazy and unreal. I can’t believe that’s me, and that I’m actually getting married this year!

I want to remember this feeling forever :)

Andrew & Ada’s Wedding

21st July 2013

Dear Chibi,

Last Sunday, Jacky and I attended his cousin Andrew’s wedding which was held at Sergeants Mess, Chowder Bay. Considering it was in the middle of winter, the temperature wasn’t too bad. It was a little cold outside during the ceremony, but we managed. After the bride and groom exchanged their wedding vows, we went inside for some canape and drinks while the couple took photos outside.

Adorable lego “Wishing Well” :3

Bridal Exhibition.. and wedding planning

18th June 2013

Dear Chibi,

I was browsing through my old draft posts I had written in the past but never got around to finishing or publishing them. One that caught my attention was one I had written over 2 years ago:

~ * ~ * ~
30th January 2011

Dear Chibi,

Today Kaz, Kat and I went to check out the Bridal Exhibition held at the Sydney Entertainment Center. The place was super packed with excited brides-to-be and seeing all the lovely things on display made us want to get married :3 Well.. that’s what we thought during the first 5 minutes upon entering the building. It was all nice and well, until we realised the exit was nowhere in sight and the overwhelming amount of booths and companies trying to grab you as their next customer became a little scary. Everyone wants that special perfect wedding, and with so many choices, planning for a wedding feels so stressful!

Finally when we reached the end, we sat down to watch the Bridal Fashion Parade :D Now THIS is what we were looking forward to *_*

:) This entry made me smile. It somehow feels relevant because now I’m one of the excited brides-to-be. Since getting engaged 2 months ago, Jacky and I have already started planning for our big day, and so far the progress has been great! We’re really planning early and ahead so hopefully it will remain relatively stress-free for the rest of the journey. We’ve already locked in a date, and booked the ceremony and reception venue. heheee! Told you we’re organised :D The wedding is planned for November 2014, so there’s still a long way to go. It doesn’t stop me from daydreaming about it everyday though, hehehe :)
