First Shopping Trip

17th June 2019

Oh yes, there’s gonna be a looooot of ‘firsts’ for him!

Dear Chibi,

Yesterday was a wet gloomy Sunday, but it didn’t put a damp on our first shopping trip since giving birth :D (Hubby’s been doing grocery on his own) It’s been so long since I’ve been out… I realised I haven’t been doing any exercise or getting any fresh air. It was a really nice change of environment (who knew I’d be excited about Bankstown? lol) :) Pushing a pram around is kinda fun ^.^ I get to see his cute little baby face snoozing away so comfortably…. I wonder what he’s dreaming about?

He fell asleep in his pram so quickly on his own. Why can’t he be like this at home as well? ^^” When it’s just the two of us, I’m spending hours trying to settle him to sleep. Maybe one day… One can hope, right? XD

Little P-chan, you’re growing up so quickly. Please stay small for longer :3

Nursery Snapshot

12th June 2019

Dear Chibi,

When I think about my earliest childhood memories, I vaguely remember the flat we grew up in. There was a living area with a tiny TV and a small balcony. What did the bedrooms or kitchen look like? We didn’t have digital cameras back then, let alone camera phones at our disposal. The photos that we did take were few and far between. It was expensive to buy films and to get them developed. I don’t think we had many photos of our home.

With that in mind, I wanted to capture more memories for P-chan to look back on one day, starting with the room his parents excitedly prepared for his arrival :)

Newborn Photoshoot

24th May 2019

Dear Chibi,

Today we received photos from our newborn photoshoot that was taken when P-chan was just 9 days old (or his 10th day if we calculate his birth date as day 1) It’s hard to believe it’s been 3 weeks since. He’s growing up so quickly, and a part of me just wants time to stop :) His tiny days are so precious and limited. I want to love and protect him forever.

It was our first time out since returning from the hospital, and we were surprised how much we needed to prep just to leave the house XD! Luckily, P-chan seems to enjoy the car ride, despite his face looking a bit frowny ^^; Cute, but I’m looking forward to when he starts to smile too, hehe.

P-chan was well behaved and slept through the entire photoshoot. Our photographer Tina was super gentle with him and made sure he was extremely comfortable. I love how the photos turned out! My heart is exploding from all the cuteness <3

Ah, too adorable.. I can’t decide on a favourite. Gotta get these printed out some day :3

Lucas P-chan ~ Our Little Bundle of Joy

18th May 2019

Dear Chibi,

Hubby and I both feel incredibly blessed to be parents to our perfect little boy :)

Born 25th April at 8.10am, our little bub Lucas (affectionately nicknamed Pi), entered this world at 3.14kg :3 He arrived while I was 39 weeks + 1 day pregnant. Today, our little P-chan is 3 weeks & 2 days old.

P-chan at 9 days old <3

The days leading up to his arrival were some of the most difficult days Hubby and I have ever endured. I went through 3 days of excruciating back pain labour, followed by 12 hours of established labour. Although delivery didn’t go exactly to plan (I ended up with an emergency cesarean), I know we did our very best. Most importantly, he arrived safe and sound. Despite all that we went through, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I love him so much, and will treasure all the moments we have together as a new family of 3.

I’d like to blog more regularly, but with a newborn it’s hard to find free time ^^” I’m struggling to stay awake most of the time, but am trying to take it easy and rest as much as possible. It’s been made a little easier with Hubby by my side.

Parenthood is a lot of hard work, and I know this is just the beginning. Still, without a doubt, giving birth to P-chan and being a mother has been the most incredible experience of my life.
