Dear Chibi,
Another year, another Sailor Moon musical :D This year’s seramyu is based on the 5th and final season: Sailor Stars. I’ve really enjoyed watching these the last couple of years, so it’s a bit sad that it’s ending. Nevertheless, it had a really good run and we made lots of fun memories :)
My previous blogs: Petit Etrangere (2014) | Un Nouveau Voyage (2015) | Amour Eternal (2016)
I invited Kaz and Kat over to watch the show together. It’s sort of become our little tradition. But first~ home made lunch :)

Dear Chibi,
I once joked about only doing one digital painting per year… and it looks like that’s actually happening XD. Well, here it is! This is my first time painting Japanese singer Karin Takahashi as Sailor Saturn from the Sailor Moon Musical Un Nouveau Voyage :D I really enjoyed her performance and had the sudden urge to do a Sailor Moon fanart (it’s been a long time!)
Please click on the thumbnail for a larger view :)
I end up spending my entire weekend at the computer with my wacom tablet. All up, it took around 24 hours to finish. I’m really quite happy with how it turned out :) I took some liberties with her eyes to give it a more anime-ish feel. Hopefully she still has some resemblance to Karin XD
See it come together (Work in progress below)

Dear Chibi,
Last night Kaz and I got to see Disney’s Aladdin musical performed at the beautiful Capitol Theatre. We were on the third row seating near the middle, so our view was amazing! WE COULD SEE ALL THE DETAILS! I’ve never sat so close to the front before and it really makes a huge difference seeing all the characters faces and expressions. There’s so much glitter and sparkles (It almost got blinding at times). We also had streamers falling over us. I was thoroughly impressed by the production quality, the special effects and all the backdrops left me in awe. There was just so much energy from the cast it made for a very fun evening :D Of course, the humor was brilliant also. The Genie stole the show, but other characters also had their moments (Iago cracks me up) I had a grin on my face the entire night and now my cheeks slightly hurt ^^” All in all, I had a fantastic night :D
Best scene hands-down was the MAGIC CARPET SCENE OMG IT WAS BEAUTIFUL :’D Even sitting so closely, it was hard to see it being hung on anything. I also loved the cave scene, that was really spectacular.

Dear Chibi,
It’s time for our annual Seramyu viewing again! This year’s performance is titled “Amour Eternal” based on the 4th season known as SuperS/Dream Arc. Fans don’t often quote the 4th season as their favourite, but it’s still enjoyable nevertheless and has a fun group of villains. I’m so glad the Outer Senshi return, because I loved them so much in ‘Un Nouveau Voyage’!
Before we started, I made spaghetti bolognese for lunch and Kat brought along a plate of spinach cob dip! Yum!

Dear Chibi,
Last year, Kaz and I were lucky enough to see the Sailor Moon Musical ‘Petit Etrangere‘ live at AiiA Theatre in Tokyo! It was a very magical experience :D This year there was a third musical production based on ‘Sailor Moon S/Infinity Arc’, titled ‘Un Nouveau Voyage’! This is one of our favourite Sailor Moon seasons because it marks the debut of Sailor Uranus, Neptune and Saturn~ AHHH!! :D <333 Now I wish we had gone to see this one live too!!
On Christmas Eve, I invited Kaz and Kat over to watch the performance together ^^ It was so AWESOME.
Having some lunch before the show.

Dear Chibi,
I’m finally back from my “SAILOR MOON TRIP TO JAPAN” adventure~ flying to Tokyo for the Sailor Moon Musical :D Instead of always ‘wishing I was there’, I decided I was going to make it happen this time. The idea itself excited me just as much as being there :D Sailor Moon is one of my most favourite things ever, so being able to watch a live show for its 20th Anniversary, meeting other moonies, buying merch and shopping in Tokyo in general (I LOVE JAPAN)~ was going to be great. So the journey begins, with just me and Kaz (my twin sister) who’s also into Sailor Moon!
Unfortunately, the trip didn’t go as smoothly as I had hoped. The moment I got off the plane from Narita Airport, I was hit with the crazy humidity and 36°C heat and got sick… so sick that I end up wasting an entire day lying on a couch without air con :’D Thankfully, Kaz came home that night with some dinner and meds for me :D She spent the day exploring Shibuya herself.
Kaz with our 7-Eleven dinner :’D We stayed in Shin-Okubo.
The next day was the day of the the Musical~ Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon: Petite Étrangèr :D :D Brad helped us and Cycyn get tickets to the first show, so we met up to see it together. Both Brad and Cycyn have been my long-time online Sailor Moon friends, and it was my first time meeting Cycyn in person!! SHE IS SO CUTE AND BUBBLY!! AHHH I’M SO HAPPY I COULD FINALLY MEET HER :D!! (She’s even appeared in my dream before…lol that sounds kinda creepy XD)
Me with Brad (MoonKitty)!
Kaz and Cycyn
We dropped by several stores in Shibuya to check out Sailor Moon merch :D
