Dear Chibi,
A few days ago I spent an afternoon working on a card for Mikayla’s 1st birthday (it’s today!) Mich had originally planned a safari/wild theme party for her but it didn’t go ahead due to the current COVID-19 situation. I decided to draw Mikayla having a great time with her adorable animal-themed cake :) I hope she still has an amazing birthday with her family.
To everyone else, please stay safe and fingers crossed this whole nightmare will fade away soon.

Dear Chibi,
“GHIBLIeve it? Chloe is TOTOROly One!“
Newway threw a very adorable dress up party for Chloe’s birthday, with all the decorations and details based on Studio Ghibli’s ‘My Neighbour Totoro’. She made all the props, costumes and games herself. So creative!
I love this bus sign!

Dear Chibi,
Today Kat, Kaz and I had brunch in Newtown’s Cuckoo Callay to celebrate Kat’s 33rd Birthday. It was my second time leaving bub at home, though I think I’m ready to venture out alone with him next time :).
Cuckoo Calley was located literally outside Newtown station ticket gates. It’s hard to miss the bright pink logo. I grabbed a seat inside next to a huge mirror which end up being a pretty fun prop to play with XD. Our table looks so much bigger than it is XD.
Happy Birthday sis! Hope you enjoyed your birthday treat :D
A weekend of Brunch

Dear Chibi,
Wow, it’s already October. I’ve been MIA for the past month since I’ve been pretty sick with the flu and have only just recovered (sort of). I’m still dealing with back and rib cage pain from all the coughing, but I am getting better :’) I’ve been watching a lot of TV and playing Starcraft. I’m not really sure if playing Starcraft is the best idea, but 2v2 is relatively mindless.
Belated Birthday @Concrete Jungle Cafe
On Saturday, I met up with the girls for Kat’s 32nd birthday brunch. We tried out this neat little cafe in Chippendale, located next to Spice Alley. It was busy but we didn’t have to wait to be seated.
Ohhh pretty. I ordered one hot chocolate but was given another one for free ;3 I had both.
Bircher Muesli. That 10/10 presentation :O The actual meal itself was ‘okay’. I don’t know why I chose this since I don’t really like muesli (nor do I like pears which this has). HAHAHA yes.. I am weird. BUT IT LOOKS PRETTY XD
The other girls got the Sriracha Spiced Salmon Poke Bowl + Barramundi. mmm…*Drools*
Great service, friendly staff and pretty food. I would love to come again (but order something else XD)
P.S Staff thought we were Japanese and kept saying ‘arigatou’ to us, lol.
Brunch @Ristretto & Co Cafe
On Sunday, Sompies and I caught up in the morning for brunch at ‘Ristretto & Co Cafe’ in Liverpool. Should I call this the long weekend of brunches? ;D
This time I made sure to order something I actually wanted to eat… waffles!!
OMG LOOK AT THIS PRETTY UNICORN LOOKING THING. Okay, it’s just fairy floss but it’s pink and cute and..and.. SUPER SWEET. It turns out we were both craving for something sugary. I also got a watermelon juice which tasted bland in comparison to the sweet overload that is the waffles XDDDD It was delicious, but I also think I’ve reached a weeks quota of sugar in one meal :’D SEND HELP.
It was a refreshing way to end a crazy month.
October, please treat me well :)

Dear Chibi,
Before I start jotting down my weekend adventures, I want to say a big Happy Birthday to my twinbee Kaz, who spent her birthday in Kangaroo Valley :D (She’s 5 minutes older, which I’m sure you could tell ;D)
One of the great things about having your birthday land on a Monday is being able to turn a single day affair into a weekend of celebrations. (I’m totally not complaining!) In fact, I was enjoying it so much I didn’t want it to end. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if it was my birthday every day? “Haha, you wish!” I hear you saying ;D Of course, I’m just being greedy. I know Hubby spoils me every single day :3
First thing on the menu was Hubby’s breakfast~ katsu sando! :D How cute is this little sandwich? It was his first time making it, and it was a delight ^^
Before we made our way to Bundeena, we stopped by this neat little cafe called Elatte Cafe. Oh my, the food is totally made for Instagram. How pretty is that pancake?? *drools* Taste did not disappoint either. So yummy!
When we arrived at the Royal National Park, we dropped by our little shack where we’d be spending the night. It has a fully equipped kitchen but the outdoor bath tub was our favourite feature ^.^
