Escaping the rain~ Another day in Adelaide

15th March 2017

Dear Chibi,

Another day in Adelaide

There’s been so much rain in Sydney lately~ I’ve been getting good use out of my gumboots. Today I flew to Adelaide again for another business trip. Day trips feel pretty exhausting when you have to get up at 4.30am. I wonder if I’ll ever get used to this..?

It was pouring again as per usual, so I was slightly relieved to escape the dull weather in Sydney and into the sunny warm Adelaide. My favourite part of the day is breakfast because that’s when I start to feel alive XD The business trip went well and I’m so glad to be home :D Okay, back to bed.. ZZZzzz…

A day in Adelaide

18th January 2017

hehe, that sort of rhymes..

Dear Chibi,

Today I’m spending the day in Adelaide, my first time on a business trip~ yay :D I’m on the plane at the moment typing away on my laptop, while my 2 colleagues are taking a nap next to me. Maybe I should be catching up on some sleep too ^^” Waking up early is always the tricky part, but I don’t do this often, so I’m not gonna complain :) I woke up at 4.30am and had 1 good hour before my cab arrives. The funny thing about early mornings is seeing my cat half asleep and confused on the stairway. He’s also torn between his desire for food and the need to snooze. Alas, he end up following me to the kitchen, even though I didn’t have food for him. AHAHA. Aww poor cat. Sorry Champy :’D

The ride to the airport was pretty smooth. I arrived at 6am and had 30 mins for breakfast. Toasted ham cheese croissant and vanilla chai latte it was! At this point, I am feeling great! Will this energy and excitment carry me through the day? I sure hope so because it’s gonna be a long one. I will be flying back later tonight; no luxury for an overnight stay ;D. Unfortunately, I will also be missing out on my Grandma’s birthday dinner.

Hopefully I’ll be able to take a few snaps during the day. Guess we’ll see ;D (Didn’t get the window seat)

Trip to Adelaide

7th January 2012

Dear Chibi,

The 8 of us (Jacky, Burpy, Ray, MZ, Emily, Meeko, Mel and I) have spent the last couple of days exploring the city of Adelaide. Now you’re probably wondering the same thing I was: What’s there to do in Adelaide? Well, read on and find out :D

Day 1:
We met up nice and early at the Sydney domestic airport for our 6.45am Virgin flight. However, Emily and the girls arrived late which lead to the others all missing their flight since she had their plane tickets >.< Jacky and I boarded the plane first and decided to meet up with them in Adelaide later in the day. Thankfully they were able to catch the next flight 2 hours later, so it wasn’t too bad. The flight was a short one, no food on plane but at least there was a screen to watch some TV. There is a 30 minute timezone difference between Sydney and Adelaide, which didn’t really affect us.

Upon arriving, we had some breakfast at Hungry Jacks before catching a shuttle bus to our holiday house at Angas Court :) Looking out the window, the streets of Adelaide weren’t too exciting to be honest. It feels like a small old town with a tiny population (1.2 million, compared to 4.6 million in Sydney).

The holiday house at Angas Court was nice and cosy. A little small compared to the place we stayed at Nelson’s Bay, but I liked it anyway :) The arrangements were quite pretty and had a very homely feel. There were beds for 6 in total, with Burpy and MZ sleeping on the couch downstairs.

After the others arrived, we spent the day checking out the city and visiting neighbouring places.
