A Decade Together

15th April 2017

Dear Chibi,

Today marks my 10 years with Hubby.

We started dating back in 2007 when I was 19. We met during the first week of Uni and I still remember what he wore down to the details on his shoes. What was that feeling? There was something about him that I was instantly attracted to. Was it that serious face he had? Or perhaps the crazy spiky hair? I don’t know. All I know was that I always wanted to be near him. Sometimes we didn’t even talk. We never called each other by our names either. It was usually a casual “wai”, but I liked it. I always looked forward to our little interactions each day. We were friends in the same CoFA group for 2 years, and I tried so hard to pretend I wasn’t interested in him. I guess I was scared he didn’t feel the same way about me. Yet, he was my confidant. I wanted to share everything with him…

When he finally asked me out, my heart was racing so fast I could hardly breathe. I said to the guy I was crushing on for 2 years “I’ll think about it…”.

HAH. I am so weird sometimes :’D

I’ve always been serious about relationships, and I knew that if I was going to date someone, it had to be someone really special~ Someone I can see myself spending the rest of my life with. Who knew the 19 year old me had such an amazing judgement? ;D 8 years later, I married him. He’s been my man for 10 years.

Thank you Hubby for loving me for who I am.
Thank you for staying by my side and always being the one I can lean on.
Thank you for making me a better person. I’ve leveled-up so much because of you.
You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

I love you~ today, tomorrow and for the rest of our lives. I promise.

10 years

Happy Anniversary <3

Seeing Gus Fring @ Los Pollos Hermanos Sydney Pop-Up

11th April 2017

Dear Chibi,

Today I got to see Giancarlo Esposito in person, or better known as Gus Fring from ‘Breaking Bad’ & ‘Better Call Saul’ :D To promote Better Call Saul season 3, Potts Point’s ‘Thirsty Bird’ chicken shop was transformed into the fictional ‘Los Pollos Hermanos’ and Gus himself would be there to open the shop. HOW COOL IS THAT?

Los Pollos Hermanos Pop Up

Official photography from Stan

Around 11.45pm, my workmate and I both snuck out of the office to catch a train to Kings Cross. As expected, the pop-up store drew a large crowd and the queue was huggggeeee. First 700 people got free fried chicken, curly fries and a drink. That’s pretty sweet, but since it was a work day and all… it just wasn’t possible for us to line up ^^” So instead, we opted to stand around the entrance hoping to catch a glimpse of Gus himself~ and of course we did!

Emily’s Farewell @Baekjung Korean BBQ

10th April 2017

Dear Chibi,

Today Hubby and I went to Emily’s Farewell lunch at Baekjung Korean BBQ in Eastwood. I end up getting to bed around 2am last night, so I woke up feeling exhausted and fatigued. 2am may not seem like much, but when you’re almost 30.. YOU CAN DEFINITELY FEEL IT XD.

We arrived at noon and there wasn’t a table long enough to fit everyone, so Hubby, Marcus and I sat separately. The food was really tasty! I liked the cheese corn and the salad the most… Okay, okay~ the meat as well X3

We talked all sorts of nerdy things like gaming, anime & the NBA 8D (Durant is finally back, yay!) With the play-offs just around the corner, things are getting pretty exciting. We’ll see how the next few months unfold :O *fingers crossed for a Warriors Championship*

Some photos from the day:

Safe travels Emily!! Hope you have an amazing time in Europe, I’m sure it’ll be a great adventure and you’ll come back with plenty of stories :)

Mal’s 30th Birthday

9th April 2017

Dear Chibi,

Last night Mal invited us over for dinner for our usual catch-up with the girls and boys. Mal’s parents prepared a delicious meal for us and we spent the night catching up, eating good food and drinking expired wine (Courtesy of Helen ;D).

Our dear Mal is also turning 30 (It’s today!)

I’ve known Mal since she was 12. We became friends in 8th grade, and she was basically my bestie for most of my High School life. I’m so grateful that after all these years, we still hang out like the old days (minus the studying). Thank you Mal for being the beautiful person you are. I hope you had an amazing birthday and thanks everyone for another great evening :)

A Whole New World ~ Aladdin The Musical

18th March 2017

Dear Chibi,

Aladdin Musical @Captiol Theatre Sydney

Last night Kaz and I got to see Disney’s Aladdin musical performed at the beautiful Capitol Theatre. We were on the third row seating near the middle, so our view was amazing! WE COULD SEE ALL THE DETAILS! I’ve never sat so close to the front before and it really makes a huge difference seeing all the characters faces and expressions. There’s so much glitter and sparkles (It almost got blinding at times). We also had streamers falling over us. I was thoroughly impressed by the production quality, the special effects and all the backdrops left me in awe. There was just so much energy from the cast it made for a very fun evening :D Of course, the humor was brilliant also. The Genie stole the show, but other characters also had their moments (Iago cracks me up) I had a grin on my face the entire night and now my cheeks slightly hurt ^^” All in all, I had a fantastic night :D

Aladdin Musical

Best scene hands-down was the MAGIC CARPET SCENE OMG IT WAS BEAUTIFUL :’D Even sitting so closely, it was hard to see it being hung on anything. I also loved the cave scene, that was really spectacular.

The Secret Garden Photo Shoot

12th March 2017

Dear Chibi,
It’s been wet and gloomy the past 2 weeks, so it was quite refreshing to get some sunshine this weekend (I’m very pleased about the laundry XD) We didn’t have any special plans, so Hubby suggested we go for a little photo shoot session :) Hubby discovered this hidden gem which we’ve dubbed “The Secret Garden”. It feels so peaceful and secluded~

I love how the photos turned out. Hubby is such an amazing photographer <3

Mono Girls Catch Up Lunch @The Garden

5th March 2017

Dear Chibi,

I’m back from our Mono girls catch-up lunch at The Garden in Wests Ashfield Leagues Club. Our last reunion was 5 years ago, so quite a lot has changed since. I’m not active on Facebook, so imagine my surprise when I learned a few were pregnant!! How exciting!

I had to leave around 2.30pm so I didn’t get a chance to talk to everyone. There’s just so much catching up to do! Still, it makes me happy to know they are all doing so well :) Thanks Lemon for organising. All the best with the babies, ladies!!

Newway & Alex get Hitched

19th February 2017

Dear Chibi,

Newway and Alex have been an item for the longest time. Travelling, moving to London, doing long distance.. they’ve done it all. I’m so happy these two are finally tying the knot and that we get to be a part of their special day.

I’ve known Newway since High School~ she was the tiniest one in our group, the most creative, the smartest and the fastest (oh can she run with those little legs!) Although she’s stronger and tougher than she looks, she’ll always be our little Bert. Alex, please take good care of her :3

Despite the thunderstorm and pouring rain, they braved through it all to pledge their lives to each other. Nothing could stop the smiles on their faces. What a beautiful ceremony.

The ceremony was held at Sawmillers Reserve, McMahons Point at 4pm. When Hubby and I arrived it had just started sprinkling.

Newway’s Hens Party

5th February 2017

Dear Chibi,

Our little Newbert is finally getting married. Yesterday was Newway’s Bachelorette Party. When we arrived, we each made our own flower crown which was pretty fun~ except no one knew how to actually make it, and we only had sticky tape to hold it together XD. Nevertheless, some managed to put together some really pretty crowns! I stuck too much tape on mine and it didn’t work out. Oh wells, a few flowers on my head it is :’D
