Dish #5 Spaghetti with garlic butter, bacon and prawns
Served with fresh basil leaves :D
I really liked this dish and it was relatively easy to make too. I end up cooking this for the bridesmaids lunch :)

Dear Chibi,
Now as a married woman and having moved out of home, it was time I started cooking meals regularly for dinner :D Chibi’s Cooking Adventures proved to be quite helpful, as I don’t have to feel like a complete noobie since I’ve at least been in a kitchen ^^”
Dish #1 Spaghetti Bolognese
Started off with something simple :)
Dish #2 Creamy Mushroom Carbonara
It didn’t end up being too ‘creamy’ because I overcooked it and the cream evaporated. Still very very tasty. Next time I won’t burn the onions XD!
Dish #3 Rice with greens and drumsticks
My Tiramisu Cake for Jacky

Dear Chibi,
This year for Jacky’s birthday, I decided to bake him a Tiramisu cake. I chose this particular cake because he introduced it to me many years ago, and has a special meaning :) And of course, knowing how long it took me to make my red velvet cake, I knew I would need to devote an entire day to it. So on Friday, I took the day off work to get the whole kitchen to myself! I had spent quite a while researching how to make the cake days leading up to Friday, and over 2 hours shopping for the ingredients. There’s a lot of ingredients! ^^”
Red Velvet Cake with Strawberries

Dear Chibi,
In today’s episode of Chibi’s Foodie Adventures, Chibi explores the art of baking Red Velvet Cakes :D For those unaware, Red Velvet is basically a chocolate cake with red food colouring. So no, it’s not raspberry or anything like that, hehe XD
I was a little nervous about making this since I’ve never used the mixer before. Thankfully, it was actually quite simple once I read through the manual :)

Dear Chibi,
One of the first things I’ve ever made as a kid was ‘White Christmas’~ something we did during school when I was in 2nd grade. It was really tasty! So to relieve that special little moment in my childhood, I decided to make it again as an adult :D
The recipe was really basic and simple~ melt the chocolate and mixed everything in together!

Dear Chibi,
It’s been a while since Chibi has had her last foodie adventure! I haven’t been very inspired for the last 3 months, but thanks to Christmas being just around the corner, I’ve gone all excited about it again :) Time to cook up something for the festive season! :D In this episode, we’re gonna have a look at how Chibi tackled these super cute ‘Butternut Snap Rudolph Chocolate Tartlets’~
(P.S I did not make up this recipe ;D I followed one, haha)

Sweetcorn fritters with roast tomato and crispy bacon

Dear Chibi,
I had a hard time deciding what to cook this week! Chibi is on a ‘healthy eating’ diet until end of September, so she wanted to avoid all sweets and desserts. She’s also not comfortable dealing with meat yet (no idea how to buy meat..) so no meat dishes, and prefers something that’s not too difficult or too unhealthy. She end up coming across this fritter recipe. Now it is a little unhealthy since it will be fried but it looked so yummy! heeeee. I told myself I’ll only have a little bit so it should be okay :D I’ve never fried anything before so… I need to practise!

Dear Chibi,
Today I tried my hands on making a risotto dish, based on this recipe! I don’t remember what risotto is supposed to taste like, so it was all very new and exciting to me (much like the potato and leek soup). It turned out really yummy and flavorful :D I used to hate pumpkin so I don’t have it much at all, but times have changed ;D
mmmm.. Progress pics below :D

Dear Chibi,
This week I wanted to move away from baking and have a go at making a nice warm soup! Jacky wanted Potato and Leek Soup so I went with that (I’ve never had it before so I’m just gonna assume it tastes good ;D) This time Jacky helped me get the potato, leek and onions while I got the rest of the ingredients. I also borrowed his blender.
